Why employment is like on a treadmill and entrepreneurship is like trekking.
It depends on what you want in life. Security of opportunity or wild opportunities beyond uncertainty and fear?
Many employee turned entrepreneurs take it as a route to escape bosses or carve a niche of their own. And many startup founders feel it is cool to be an entrepreneur. After closely observing great entrepreneurs, I feel it is a way of life. They take uncertainty as a daily routine, bottlenecks as signs that they are closer to the goal and crisis as opportunity to find solutions creatively. They are a different breed. Now the question is, can you become an entrepreneur after being an employee? Many turn entrepreneurs and they value freedom and dignity of work more than anything else. Technology entrepreneurs love the idea of changing the world with their hot ideas and products. Young professionals start companies as an experiment. They randomly seek opportunities. Try to work out possibilities. Learn a lot in a short span of time. If they succeed, they make a life. If they fail, they are stronger and use the learning for better ways of doing it.
