Weekends give time and space for pause, reflect, prepare and relaunch.
When we run marathons, we stop by intermittently and have a quick dose of water and orange slices to regain ourselves.
That is what weekends can do in our sprint – relax – restore routine.
We can’t run like non-stop factories.
Human brains run from active state of mind to sleeping state of mind and extreme outbursts of intellectual energy in between.
We need clearly defined periods of total shut down from work to gather ourselves from all those scattered directions we went into in the hurry for productivity.
Work intensely > Pause > Reflect > Shut down > Relax > Restore > Relaunch
