Many people think artificial intelligence (AI) and automation takes away all our work and many believe in the doomsday thing of millions of potential jobs lost because of AI, robots, and ML. It takes away the part of the work which we do not like doing.
For example, as a hiring agency, we find it tough to go through a massive list of candidates across job boards who do not match the right fitment our clients look for. But we love talking to the relevant candidates, have meaningful conversations, make them understand the context and culture of our client employer. AI makes it easier to search, filter and shortlist the candidates based on our hiring parameters. The rest of job becomes easier, as the search and filtering initially used to take 40% of the total hiring time. Essentially, it is going to make lives better, by automating repetitive, boring and long tasks – and giving us the luxury to focus on what matters – the candidate assessment, engagement, persuasion and negotiation.
